The seminar, hosted by the Marico BR, will be attended by delegates from the Magaliesberg BR, the Vhembe BR, the Waterberg BR and the Kruger to Canyon BR as well as representatives from SADEC, LIMCOM, UNESCO and the Departments of Environmental and Water Affairs of the RSA.
The aim of the seminar is to exchange practical knowledge in the conservation and restoration of ecosystems as well as the management of ground water and aquifer systems as a prerequisite to mitigating climate change and adapting to these changes in the weather patterns.
The seminar will be sponsored by the Resilient Waters Program that USAID funds.
